Research Associate ­­/­­ Safety Officer (m­­/­­f­­/­­x)

Tasks: Together with the researchers at PoL, you develop, maintain and oversee the safety plans of the research groups. This includes the design of protocols and strategies for the management of biological experiments and the handling of genetically modified organisms, the development and implementation of measures for quality assurance of biological safety, and the overseeing of the required documentation. In your role, you will advise researchers on the principles, methodology and standards of genetic engineering and biological safety, from research design to archiving. In addition, you will support the coordination of the genetic safety areas at PoL, e.g. the cell culture and aquatics facilities, including assisting in the preparation of biological safety documentation and licenses.
