Material and Process Engineer ( w/m/d)
Aufgaben:
The position holder (m/f/d) is responsible for the following tasks:
- Support for the Project Product Assurance (PA) Manager:
- Responsible for M&P topics related to assembly techniques for electronic components, including customer and supplier evaluations such as: Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), Equipment Qualification Status Review (EQSR), and Manufacturing Readiness Review (MRR).
- Responsible for the Materials and Process Control Board (MPCB) concerning the assembly of electronic components from suppliers.
- M&P Evaluation and PA Documentation:
- Responsible for M&P assessment and support in the preparation of PA documents (RFA, RFD, RFW, NCRs) in compliance with ECSS standards.
- Conduct MIPs (Mandatory Inspection Points) of populated circuit boards. An ESA-CAT2 inspector certification would be advantageous.
- Active interface with PCB and EEE experts, as well as other M&P disciplines and specialists.
- Validation of qualification plans and assessment of qualification reports/results.
- Validation of drawings concerning M&P topics and the compilation and approval of product lists (Declared Materials, Processes & Mechanical Parts List)
- Manufacturing Support:
- Support in addressing questions on repairs/assembly techniques for populated circuit boards or specific configurations, ensuring compliance with applicable ECSS/NASA standards.
- Support during the EM/EQM phase of a project for implementing modifications in assembly techniques.
- Act as an interface between PA and customers.
Qualifikationen:
- M.Sc./Eng. or PhD in Aeronautical, Electrical Engineering or a related field required
- Experience in the validation of materials and the implementation and control of processes
- Strong knowledge of assembly techniques (soldering processes) for electronic components
- In-depth knowledge of ECSS and/or IPC standards
- Familiarity with quality certification systems such as EN 9001 and EN 9100 would be advantageous
- Operator/Inspector certification in accordance with ECSS-Q-ST-70-08/38 or 70-61 would be an asset
- Fluent English language skills are essential, fluent German or any other language would be beneficial
