Join us in shaping the digital future of water.
We're looking for a hands-on Solution Engineer (20h/week) to help our SaaS customers integrate our services into their web platforms. You'll work at the intersection of backend development, DevOps, and customer success - building robust systems, automating processes, and delivering real-world impact.
If you're passionate about backend infrastructure, automation, and collaborating with customers, and bring experience in solution engineering, software development, or DevOps - we'd love to meet you.
What we offer
Become part of our international team in the field of digital water management and make a real impact toward a more sustainable world. Discover a workplace that values family life and actively promotes diversity in tech.
- Creative freedom - Your ideas matter and can directly shape our product and processes.
- Flexible working hours & remote-first - Work from wherever suits you best: your home, nature, or on the road.
- Supportive team culture - Regular team events (3-4/year), knowledge sharing, and room to grow.
- Work-life balance - Take advantage of flexible arrangements that support a family-friendly and balanced lifestyle.
- Diversity & inclusion - We welcome people of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences.
Your responsibilities
- Collaborate with our sales and engineering team to ensure seamless integration of our services into the customers' (web) platforms.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, efficient, and reliable backend systems and APIs.
- Configure APIs and create necessary adapters to ensure seamless data flow between systems.
- Document integration architectures and provide technical guidance to customers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration-related issues during implementation and post-deployment.
- Design and implement cloud-based infrastructure for our platform.
- Monitor, maintain, and extend the platform to ensure scalability, availability, reliability, and capacity.
- Implement automation tools and practices for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) to streamline software releases and maintenance.
- Be part of our DevOps team and work closely with our Machine Learning team to build infrastructure tools that help our developers apply and deploy their data-driven algorithms.
- Design and implement data pipelines for ETL processes, data integration, and transformation, ensuring data accuracy, quality, and availability.
Your profile
- Degree in computer science or a related field and 3-5 years of professional experience as a software engineer, DevOps engineer, or in a pre-sales role.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with backend frameworks such as Kubernetes, FastAPI, Svelte, etc.
- Experience in cloud-based software development.
- Solid knowledge of relevant technologies: REST, databases, object storage (e.g. AWS S3, Google Cloud, etc.).
- Basic understanding of machine learning principles and integration of ML models into applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for exploring new solutions and tools.
- You prefer to automate repetitive tasks rather than doing them manually.
- A strong team player who enjoys collaborating with different people and profiles, sharing knowledge, and striving for continuous learning.
- Fluent in English and German.
- Comfortable in a remote workplace setting.
- Based in Germany and comfortable working remotely.
