Financial Controller (m­­/­­f­­/­­d) - Germany

Lead the finance departments of Azenta's German subsidiaries. Integrate Barkey into the Azenta Group. Find organizational synergies between the finance departments of the German businesses. Post entries to the general ledger. Provide FP&A analysis. Complete month-end accounts and reconciliations. Answer queries on financial accounting. Report numbers to the shareholders on time and in line with policy. Assist with the implementation of projects. Ensure compliance with SOX and other controls in the Finance department and across the business where this is required. Provide a clear audit trail of all journals and movements between accounts. Answer queries satisfactorily and in a timely manner raised by the external auditors. Be the point of contact on matters of German and US GAAP. Work with the external and internal auditors. Liaise with the contract accountant in technical matters. Provide insight and clarity on matters of accounting complexity. The role holder is responsible for prioritizing the workload and organizing the own day, which may vary considerably depending upon business demands at the time. Maintain regular contact with finance staff in head office in the USA, the European Financial Controller and other senior finance managers around the group. Communicate internally with staff at all levels, including directors of the business.
